Liz
Liz, an outstanding academic sophomore student at a local high school, was living without either of her parents. Drugs and incarceration separating her from them. Nevertheless, she resourcefully secured safe housing, but was in need of adequate clothing, everyday hygiene needs and someone to cheer her on. The PeaceMakers PNW had been in conversation with school administrators regarding funding a student for the 2024 school year when Liz was nominated. We met with her, discussed the criteria for the program and are now happily involved in Liz’s life. Our most recent outing depicted in the photo. Winter school shopping, an event she’s never experienced before. As the school year progresses we will go on more shopping adventures, go on outings, and share in school accomplishments, but most importantly we’ll love Liz as a daughter, help her navigate the tough experiences and we’ll cheer her on. Raising the probability of scholastic excellence, continued education, breaking the cycles of addictions and incarceration, and improving the chances of economic success
We Need Your Help
There are nearly 3,000 Clark County, Washington students who are experiencing housing instability. Not having a parent or parents with access to affordable housing and therefore tasked with alternative living arrangements which lead to a constant state of moving due to the family home being a temporary room, RV, trailer, or car parked on the street. The negative impact, hopelessness. An increased probability of poor scholastic experiences, addiction, incarceration, and continuing a legacy of poverty.
One family, one student, one goal is a community for students campaign in support of Community Project Love. A youth scholarship program for at-risk middle school kids and high schoolers. The program was created to teach good character, strong work ethic, and conflict resolution skills through love and action in Christ Jesus.
We want you to join the campaign. A monthly donation of 10, 20, or 30 dollars helps us help Liz, Adonis, Kevyn and more. We’re excited to share the details of the program if you’d like more information on being a financial supporter. Together we can help the overlooked and the forgotten, and transform their hopelessness to joy and success. ~ The PeaceMakers PNW
