The Program 

Every year there are students entering school with added challenges. Low-income hardships, family addiction, incarcerated parents, or any number of adverse situation which put them at-risk of scholastic failure. CPL is purposed to influence school success through  the development of character, building healthy self-care habits, and navigating finances and conflicts.

Our mentoring philosophy is faith based; however, we do not require a religious commitment. We simply teach practical biblical principles to promote sound decision making and to achieve positive social outcomes. We teach a relatable and relevant curriculum centered on 3 educational spheres – love, character and financial health. Each lesson is communicated through conversational teaching which is proven to  promote learning and the building of sound relationships. 

Organizationally we are diverse in culture, economic background, education and life experience. We are represented by law enforcement, reformed ex-cons, social workers and recovered addicts. Our collective experiences grant a unique perspective which we draw from to assist our students in building a foundation to navigate problems, to create, to thrive and to make positive contributions to our community.
