Good character is developed through instruction of and modeling moral excellence. Discipling being the teaching method preferred, benefits from a foundation built on a faithful bond between teacher and student. An interconnection commonly reflected in healthy parent-child and coach-athlete relationships. This type of bond is favorable as it is established from love and trust. Virtues necessary to the instruction and receiving of the moral excellence of integrity, courage, compassion, faithfulness, and self-control. However, there is a problem; there is a saddening number of youth without anyone to help develop their good character.
